Aatifa Shareef is a psychology graduate student at the University of Dallas as well as an Alimiyah student at the Qalam Seminary. Born and raised in Columbus, OH, she graduated with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Religious Studies from Northwestern University. At Northwestern, she was heavily involved in the MSA and remains passionate about MSA work. After graduating, she went on to study at the Bayyinah Dream program, graduating as valedictorian. She currently works as an instructor for the Qalam Institute and is interested in combining her two fields of study by understanding psychology in an Islamic context and providing counseling for the Muslim community in America.
